The resort features beautiful tree top villas with stunning views, making for a great getaway in the Texas hill country. While the spacious units were comfortable for our group, we noticed some areas needing better upkeep, especially regarding the furniture and amenities. The daily parking fee and limited parking also detracted from the experience, but the pools and family activities offered some fun.
Rooms
6.0
The tree top villas provide ample space, but one bedroom lacked basic furniture, which was disappointing. The overall decor felt a bit tired, but the view from the decks was lovely.
Service
5.0
The service was generally unobtrusive; we didn't have many interactions but didn't feel particularly welcomed or supported. The maintenance issues regarding the pools and Wi-Fi were points of concern.
Location
7.0
Nestled in the hills, the location offers a serene natural setting, although navigating to nearby attractions requires some winding drives. It's conveniently located between San Antonio and Austin, but the last leg of the trip can be challenging.
Dining
5.0
While we often ate out, the on-site snack bar was never open during our stay, which was a letdown. Eating out nearby was decent, but seating options were limited due to the heat.
Facilities
6.0
The facilities included a nice gradual entry pool for kids and other recreation activities, but the hot tubs were out of order and the Wi-Fi didn't work, which was frustrating. Overall, the facilities have potential but need better management.

The Tree-Top Villa was a charming place with plenty of space, featuring a full kitchen and multiple bathrooms, making it comfortable for our family. However, the lack of internet access and restricted use of clubhouse facilities during our stay was frustrating. The location in Texas's beautiful hill country was a major plus, providing a serene environment. Overall, I would recommend this place if they resolve the connectivity issues.

The resort offers a nice blend of activities suitable for families and groups, with plenty of outdoor options and space to gather. However, some of the facilities are in need of maintenance, and the accommodations feel quite dated. While it served our purpose for a family gathering, improvements are needed to enhance the overall experience.
Rooms
5.0
The cabins were very rustic and tired, with lumpy pillows and some maintenance issues.
Service
6.0
The staff were mixed in friendliness and weren't always available to assist with equipment questions.
Location
7.0
The grounds are well-situated for enjoyable activities like swimming and accessing the river, but the facilities could use better upkeep.
Dining
6.0
There aren't many nearby dining options, but the convenience of having a kitchen in the cabins allowed for simple meal preparation.
Facilities
5.0
While the facilities offered a range of activities, some amenities, like the putt-putt course, were unplayable and poorly maintained.

Our stay was quite a mixed bag. The spacious RV site was a highlight, allowing us to enjoy the natural surroundings with abundant wildlife like deer and ducks. However, the check-in process was marred by some frustrating staff interactions regarding our site placement and subsequent issues with RV compatibility. Maintenance issues were apparent across the resort, especially on the cabin side, detracting from the overall experience.
Rooms
7.0
The RV site we had was spacious but had challenging setup conditions due to tree placement and electrical connection issues.
Service

Service was inconsistent, with several frustrating encounters when addressing issues related to our reservation.

I recently spent five nights at an RV campground that impressed with its large and well-designed sites. There were plenty of recreational activities, although the Wi-Fi could use improvement. The natural setting was beautiful, with wildlife roaming around, creating a delightful atmosphere. However, my experience at the nearby resort left something to be desired due to its outdated facilities and bug issues.
Rooms

The RV sites were spacious and well-maintained, although the setup was not ideal for maneuvering my large vehicle due to overhanging branches.
Service

The staff were attentive and genuinely tried to accommodate our needs, which was refreshing despite my concerns about the facility.

The campground had great amenities like swimming pools and recreational courts, but the other resort I visited lacked maintenance and felt rundown.
